About Mercy Multiplied

Mercy Multiplied was launched in 1983 after Founder and President, Nancy Alcorn, spent eight years working for the government. Nancy realized that true transformation would never come as the result of any government system. Afterwards, Nancy started the first residential home in West Monroe, Louisiana. Mercy’s residential program helps young women break free from life controlling issues and situations. Specifically anxietydepressionsexual abuseeating disordersself-harmaddictionsunplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking

Eventually these services expanded its residential locations to Nashville, St. Louis, and Sacramento. In the long run, Mercy plans to build a residential homes in the panhandle of Florida. The organization has grown beyond the borders of the United States, including locations in the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Growth and Progress

In 2016, after seeing thousands of lives transformed in the residential program, Mercy decided that it was time to adapt its highly successful counseling model into an 8-week discipleship resource so men and women of all ages, at any point in their walk with the Lord, could find new levels of freedom and healing in Christ. In addition to the Keys to Freedom study, our Outreach Services also train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, and other practical resources. Our goal is to share the life transforming principles used in our residential program to empower men and women of all ages to live in freedom.

In September of 2020, Mercy Multiplied launched its first Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling in West Monroe, LA – right in the very location where the ministry began in 1983. This center offers a free-of-charge outpatient counseling program to men and women aged 13 and older. This center is a prototype and Mercy expects to expand these services to other locations.

Remaining ever faithful to its three guiding principles: (1) provide our residential and outpatient services free-of-charge, (2) tithe 10% and (3) never accept money with strings attached or that which would prevent our ability to share Jesus Christ. The Run for Mercy 5K is only one of the events this organization holds to support their important mission.
